Deeds not Words

The New Rochelle League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
New Rochelle LWV to Hold Forum for Local County Board Legislature Candidates, Oct 23

The League of Women Voters of New Rochelle will present a forum for candidates running for Westchester County Board of Legislators in Districts 7,10 and 11 on Monday, October 23, 2017 in New Rochelle City Hall Auditorium .

The public may submit questions and mingle with candidates from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and the forum will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The candidates for District 7 are as follows: Incumbent Catherine Parker (D) and challenger Norman S. Rosenblum (R), current Mayor of Mamaroneck Village.

District 7 includes a portion of New Rochelle. Incumbent Sheila Marcotte (R) and challenger Damon Maher (D) in District 10, which includes the north end of New Rochelle and Eastchester;

James Maisano (R), incumbent is unchallenged in District 11, which covers the balance of New Rochelle and Pelham.

Questions from voters may be submitted ahead of time to:

A League moderator from outside the city will lead the evening.

The public is encouraged to go online to for detailed information about each candidate. The candidates forum will be videotaped by NRTV and will air on Verizon channel 28 and Cablevision channel 75 and will be available on demand in the days before the November 7th election.
